VT 602 Kitazato Thaw Media - In vitro fertilization culture medium

Intended purpose

Thawing media is to be used for thawing of vitrified oocytes (MII) and embryos.

Functional description

Thawing Media is composed of TS (Thawing Solution), DS(Dilution Solution), WS (Wash Solution). The principle of warming is to make transaction of temperature from -196℃ to 37℃ to avoid crystallization. Also, to dilute the oocytes and embryos and remove CPA which were equilibrated in the vitrification procedure and put the cells back to appropriate osmotic pressure for further ART treatment. TS and DS contains trehalose, and its concentration is decreased from TS to DS.
