Flushing Medium 1076 (with heparin) - In vitro fertilization culture medium

Intended purpose

For retrieval (incl. follicle flushing), holding and washing of oocytes. This product is for Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) laboratory procedures. The product should only be used by professionals trained in ART treatment.

Functional description

Supports the viability of oocytes during retrieval, handling and washing and controls pH in ambient atmosphere. The addition of heparin to 1076 reduces the risk of coagulation during oocyte retrieval. Prior to use the medium must be pre-warmed to 37 degrees C. The warming period depends on the volume of medium and oil overlay. The product is used according to standard principles within the ART laboratory.
