Intended purpose

The right angle hook electrode device is a device intended to be used in Laparoscopic surgical applications as a monopolar cutting instrument in keyhole surgery techniques. It is passed through a suitable laparoscopic Trocar cannula / Trocar sleeve and used conjunction with a diathermy generator and is activated by a foot control pedal. It is at the Surgeon's discretion to choose the suitable Monopolar Electrode tip depending on the area of use and type of tissue. The device is supplied sterile for single disposable use only. The Diathermy Switch Pen is designed for monopolar electrosurgery and is available with various non-stick Teflon coated electrodes. The Diathermy Smoke Pen achieves the same purpose, with the addition of a smoke evacuation capability as well as stretchable/interchangeable nozzles to best meet the surgeon’s needs in the operating theatre. The range comes with a variety of electrodes for substitution onto the pen, in addition to a pen holster for storage and a scratch pad for the removal of eschar buildup on the electrode. The device is supplied sterile for single disposable use only. The Disposable Laparoscopic Scissors is a device intended to be used in Laparoscopic surgical applications as a cutting instrument for delicate tissue whilst offering the capability of blunt dissection and coagulation.
