Intended purpose
The Model 6937 lead is intended to be implanted in the superior vena cava (SVC) for delivery of defibrillation therapy to treat ventricular tachyarrhythmias or for acute use in the central venous circulatory system for the delivery of cardioversion therapy to treat atrial tachyarrhythmias.
Functional description
The Transvene SVC Model 6937 Unipolar, Endocardial, Superior Vena Cava Lead is designed for delivery of cardioversion and defibrillation therapies. It is intended for single long term use in the superior vena cava or for single acute use in the central venous circulatory system. Silicone insulation surrounds the low resistance conductor coil and the coil electrode is a platinum alloy. The lead also has a DF-1 connector.
