Intended purpose

The AC device is intended to provide fixation during the healing process following a trauma to the acromioclavicular in the shoulder, such as coracoclavicular ligament disruption.

Functional description

The Lockdown Device is used to provide a stable but flexible tether between the coracoid and clavicle, preventing separation but allowing movement between the bones, in order to restore alignment and functionality to the acromioclavicular joint. The device is anchored through screw fixation
