Line-powered surgical power tool control unit

Intended purpose

A device that is made up of a console, footswitch and contains a power hand piece and a variety of attachments including drills, burs, and saw blades. The system can be powered by battery or main electricity. This flexible configuration allows the system to be used in a number of different surgical procedures (e.g. resection and evacuation of soft and bony tissue in a number of different surgical procedures).
