Intended purpose
The devices are intended to be implanted at the level of the lumbar spine between L3 and S1 during lumbar disc arthroplasty.
Functional description
The devices are intended to be implanted at the level of the lumbar spine between L3 and S1 during lumbar disc arthroplasty. The LP-ESP® is composed of two titanium alloy plates, separated by a deformable portion that is intended to allow the disc to move. The prosthesis has relief barbs and an HA (hydroxyapatite) coating on an undercoat layer of pure titanium (T40). The deformable portion is composed of a flexible polycarbonate urethane cushion and a central core made of silicone.
