Intended purpose

Melcare'sT Manuka honey wound dressings are sterile wound dressings made from Leptospermum sp. honey. They provide an antibacterial wound environment, help maintain wound pH, assist in removal of slough and necrotic tissue and remove malodour. Melcare'sT Manuka honey wound dressings are indicated as a contact layer for wounds such as: venous ulcers, pressure ulcers (I-IV), diabetic ulcers, 1st and 2nd degree burns, surgical wounds, donor and recipient graft sites, sloughy, malodorous wounds and general First Aid.
