Plasmafit Dual Mobility Insert - Metallic acetabular liner

Intended purpose

The implant is used • As a subcomponent of a human hip endoprosthesis: Dual Mobility insert and Dual Mobility head • to combine with Aesculap hip endoprosthesis components • Use with Aesculap Plasmafit® Plus cup systems • The implant components are packed individually; each has a separate article number.

Functional description

The Plasmafit Dual Mobility Insert is an acetabular component where the outer surface mates with a Plasmafit Cup and the inner surface is highly polished and serves as the articulation surface for the Dual Mobility head made of Vitelene® (highly cross linked polyethylene with vitamin E).
