Intended purpose
The METS coned hemi-pelvis is designed to provide an off-the-shelf range of specialised hemi-pelvic reconstructive shells for acetabular cup support to be used for intensive hemi-pelvic bone reconstruction. This device has been designed to complement and work with the METS range. Indications: – Major acetabular bone loss – Revision hip procedures – Bone tumour
Functional description
A Titanium acetabular shell with integrated pelvic stem. The stem is part coated with HA for betterbone integration and contains cutting teeth to ensure maximum rotational stability. The large internal diameter shell houses cups up to an outer diameter of 50mm and the multiaxisymmetric holes allow for optimal bone screw alignment and cement fixing. Stem length of 93mm.
