Intended purpose

The Clinician Programmer (CP) is a computer installed with programming software. It is used to set and adjust stimulation parameters of stimulators by communicating wirelessly via a radio frequency link.

Functional description

The Clinician Programmer (CP) is a commercial off-the-shelf computer customised by programming software. The device communicates with the Stimulator via a Programming Wand. The Programming Wand uses a radio frequency (RF) link to communicate with the Stimulator. Programs can be created and downloaded to the CP for previewing, activating, and changing stimulation parameters. Stimulation programs can also be saved to the Stimulator.
