Intended purpose

The HeartMate Touch Communication System is intended for use with the HeartMate 3 LVAS. The HeartMate Touch Communication System provides clinicians with the ability to program and monitor LVAS parameters.

Functional description

The HeartMate Touch Communication System uses a software application (HeartMate Touch App) to communicate with the System Controller via a Bluetooth wireless adapter, in order to program and monitor the operation of the Left Ventricular Assist System.
