2x4 Pocket Adaptor Kit Model No. 64002 - Neural-tissue electrical stimulation lead adaptor

Intended purpose

To conduct stimulation between the INS and an extension as part of a DBS system. Adaptors are used for revision surgeries when the new INS is not electromechanically compatible with the existing extensions.

Functional description

The pocket adaptor has connector ports on the distal end for connecting the extension(s) and a 1x8 in-line connector on the proximal end. The 2x4 pocket adaptor distal end connects to two Medtronic quadripolar extensions. The proximal end connects to a neurostimulator.
