Avantage E1 Acetabular liner size 66 - Non-constrained polyethylene acetabular liner

Intended purpose

Vitamin E infused highly cross linked polyethylene insert intended to act as a large diameter rotating liner within the acetabular cup, providing high range of motion and decreased risk of dislocation. Particularly recommended for patients of any age with high dislocation risk; pathology exposing patient to dislocation risk, e.g. neck fracture, tumour surgery, neuromuscular disorder; hip prosthesis revision especially for recurring dislocation.

Functional description

Highly cross linked polyethylene acetabular insert infused with antioxidant vitamin E to neutralise residual free radicals present after irradiation process, and therefore provide resistance to oxidation. Double mobility system with secondary motion occurring between insert and acetabular cup designed to help minimise risk of dislocation.
