Intended purpose

The Longevity® IT 7mm Offset Liner is indicated for primary or revision surgery in skeletally mature individuals for rehabilitating hips damaged as a result of noninflammatory degenerative joint disease (NIDJD) or its composite diagnoses of osteoarthritis, avascular necrosis, protrusio acetabuli, traumatic arthritis, slipped capital epiphysis, fused hip, fracture of the pelvis, and diastrophic variant.

Functional description

The Longevity® IT 7mm Offset Liner is a component of the Continuum™, Trilogy® IT, Allofit® IT Acetabular Systems. Designed to lateralize the center of rotation of the acetabular cup. Each liner is identified with a two letter code that corresponds to the mating acetabular shell. Manufactured from Longevity®, a highly crosslinked ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (HXPE). Intended for uncemented use.
