Device Dossier for Pinnacle Marathon Acetabular Liner - Non-constrained polyethylene acetabular liner (Non-constrained polyethylene acetabular liner,…
- GMDN category: Non-constrained polyethylene acetabular liner
Intended purpose
The Pinnacle Marathon Acetabular Liner is used as part of a Total hip arthroplasty and is intended to provide increased patient mobility and reduce pain by replacing the damaged hip joint articulation in patients where there is evidence of sufficient sound bone to seat and support the components.
Functional description
The Pinnacle Marathon Acetabular Liner is constructed from cross-linked UHMWPE and has an inner diameter corresponding to the outer diameter of the femoral head with which it articulates. The outer diameter of the liner corresponds to the inner diameter of the acetabular shell which it snap-locks into. The liners are available in different stability options: neutral, lipped, with 10 degrees of orientation and with 4 mm of extra thickness to adjust offset.
