- GMDN category: Non-rechargeable semi-automatic external defibrillator
Intended purpose
The intended use of External Cardiac Defibrillator is the detection of the electrocardiogram with consequent cardiac defibrillation via electric shock, in the event that ventricular tachycardia or ventricular fibrillation is detected. They are intended and used to stop ventricular fibrillation and pulseless ventricular tachycardia.
Functional description
SMARTY SaverTech AED treats sudden cardiac arrest & aids CPR. Auto-detects/analyses rhythm; delivers defibrillation shocks for VF or VT (monomorphic/polymorphic >180bpm) via biphasic truncated exponential (BTE) shock, self-adapting to thoracic impedance. Semi-auto version (SMB-B0001): max 200J. Powered by Li-MnO2 battery packs (SMT-C14031/C14033). Supports µSD data logging. Daily self-tests in standby; dual LEDs indicate device status.
