Intended purpose
An extremely soft and pliable suture that allows extremely soft passage through tissues. The suture displays very high linear knot and tensile strength with fine dimensions. It is intended to join the edges of a soft-tissue wound or incision by stitching or to ligate soft tissues; it may include an attached needle intended to be disposed of after single use. The thread provides temporary wound support until the wound sufficiently heals to withstand normal stress. Not intended for use in the central vascular or nervous systems.
