Orthodontic anchoring screw

Intended purpose

Serves as a temporary anchor for an orthodontic device (e.g., a spring). May have a self-drilling thread for easy insertion and removal after desired alignment of the teeth. Used in a variety of orthodontic treatment situations, especially when normal anatomy has been compromised. Screws for insertion in the jaw-bone for the orthodontic adjustment of defective tooth position and dentition. Specific screw heads attend the gathering of orthodontic wires, springs and rubber straps.
