Intended purpose

A thin, single-use metal rod (Kirschner wire) designed to guide the insertion of a cannulated orthopaedic implant (such as a screw) and/or a surgical instrument (such as a drill bit) into bone during an orthopaedic procedure. The device is made of a high-grade metal and is also designed for fixation of bone fragments and/or bone reconstruction. It is available in a variety of sizes, lengths, and designs.
