Orthopaedic fixation plate, non-biodegradable

Intended purpose

An implantable shaped sheet of firm metal used as an auxiliary implant to aid in fixation; used to reattach trochanteric fragment directly to modular proximal body during hip revision surgery with the Arcos hip revision system. By reattaching the fragment in this method, the soft tissues and bony fragment are stabilized, providing added level of joint stability. May be used with bolts and screws; constructed of CoCrMo alloy.
