Orthopaedic implant aiming/guiding block

Intended purpose

A surgical cutting block designed as a preshaped block with a defined pattern of prefabricated holes of various sizes and shapes used by the surgeon to guide other instruments and to align a corresponding implant during an orthopaedic procedure. The cutting blocks are adapted as patient-specific surgical instrumentation and intended to be used by the surgeon to assist in the positioning of total knee or hip replacement components intra-operatively and in guiding the marking of bone before cutting. This is a single use device.
