Intended purpose

For the use in the treatment of hydrocephalus as a component of a shunt system when draining or shunting the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is indicated.

Functional description

A 14cm ventricular catheter (ID 1.4mm, OD 2.7mm) made from radiopaque silicone tubing that has been treated using the antimicrobial impregnation process. The catheter is used as a component of a shunt system for the draining or shunting of CSF. Accessories are included in the pack to insert the catheter.
