Intended purpose

Sterile single-use device containing platelet additive solution intended to partially replace plasma for the preparation of platelet concentrates prepared from aphaeresis and from buffy-coats.

Functional description

MacoPharma's Platelet Additive Solution SSP+ is used to replace 60-70% of plasma as storage medium of platelets for transfusion purposes. It is intended to be mixed with plasma to ensure platelet in vitro storage and have no pharmaceutical action.
