Protruded Cup, UHMWPE - Polyethylene acetabulum prosthesis

Intended purpose

The protruded acetabular cup is indicated for advanced articular destruction generated by primary degenerative or post-traumatic arthrosis or rheumatoid arthritis; fracture or avascular necrosis; congenital or acquired deformity; failures of previous operations, like osteosynthesis, articular reconstruction, arthrodesis, hemi- arthroplasty or total arthroplasty.

Functional description

The cemented acetabular cup is made from UHMWPE. The protruded cup has an antidislocation shoulder and has a lateral portion which guarantees a greater coverage of the femoral head and prevents any accidental dislocation.
