Intended purpose

The Exceed ABT Cemented Non Flanged Cup is part of the Exceed ABT Hip System and is intended for use in total hip arthroplasty. The indications for the use include: Non-inflammatory degenerative joint diseases including osteoarthritis, avascular necrosis and post-traumatic arthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis. Correction of functional deformity. Revision of failed joint reconstruction or treatment. Treatment of femoral neck and trochanteric fractures of the proximal femur with femoral head involvement and which are unmanageable using other techniques.

Functional description

Acetabular Cup component of hip joint replacement prostheses. Made from highly cross linked molecular weight polyethylene with ?-tocopherol. Includes Polymethylmethacrylate cement spacers and titanium x-ray marker wire. For cemented use.
