ACS PE Patella cemented - Polyethylene patella prosthesis

Intended purpose

A cemented patella component of the ACS knee system. The ACS Knee System is indicated, if - severe joint destruction with significant impairment where other therapeutic measures are not more promising. - severe joint pain due to degenerative or rheumatoid arthritis, joint fractures or bone necrosis. - post-operative conditions after previous surgery with or without the use of implants.

Functional description

The cemented UHMWPE patella component features a symmetric design and is available in 4 diameters to ensure optimal bone coverage of the patella. The patella component is fixed to the bone via three pegs with bone cement. Due to the rotational symmetric tapered design an optimal contact surface in the deep patella groove of the femoral component is ensured in flexion as well as in extension. The PE?patella is compatible to every size of the ACS femoral component.
