Intended purpose

Device intended for replacement of the patellofemoral joint affected by injury and/or disease process, indicated in the following cases: - Osteoarthritis, post-traumatic arthritis, polyarthritis, severe chondrocalcinosis of the patellofemoral joint - Previously failed surgical attempts (i.e. arthroscopy, lateral release, tibial tubercle elevation, cartilage transplantation) - History of patellar dislocation or fracture, resulting in cartilage degeneration of the patellofemoral joint. - Degeneration induced by dysplasia

Functional description

Device is manufactured from UHMWPE (ISO 5834-2 Type 1). It is designed for cemented fixation with 3 pegs and cement pockets for stability. It is designed to articulate with the trochlear region of the femoral implant.
