Intended purpose

A device to treat anatomical abnormalities of the vertebrae by providing mechanical stability and sufficient space for bone fusion. It is intended to prevent vertebral slipping during fusion and is typically a small, hollow and/or porous, threaded or fenestrated cylinder made of synthetic polymer implanted between the bones or bone grafts of the spine.
