Intended purpose

Indicated for patient therapies requiring repeated access to the vascular system for infusion of medications, I.V. fluids, parenteral nutrition solutions, blood products and for the withdrawal of blood samples. When used with the PowerLoc Safety Infusion Set, the PowerPort device is indicated for power injection of contrast media.

Functional description

This procedure pack contains a range of medical devices and an implantable M.R.I. PowerPort with a self sealing septum with an attachable radiopaque silicone single lumen venous 8fr Groshong catheter, to assist in the surgical implantation of the port and catheter.
