Intended purpose
The Vanguard SSK Direct Compression Moulded Arcom UHMWPE non?constrained posterior stabilised standard post tibial bearing is intended for use as one component of the Vanguard Super Stabilised Knee system. Indicated for revision and complex primary indications where high degree of valgus/varus support is required and femoral bone loss is limited. MCL does not have to be intact but must provide some stability; replaces ACL, PCL, LCL. Indications for use: Painful and disabled knee joint resulting from osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, traumatic arthritis where one or more compartments are involved; Correction of varus, valgus, or posttraumatic deformity; Correction or revision of unsuccessful osteotomy, arthrodesis, or failure of previous joint replacement procedure.
Functional description
Tibial bearing constructed of direct compression moulded Arcom UHMWPE. The device has a deep anterior cutout; curved tibial post; provides high dislocation height; increased post/box contact at 90 deg flexion; allows for varus/valgus lift-off and 15 degrees internal/external rotational freedom.
