Intended purpose
The Vanguard SSK Direct Compression Moulded Arcom UHMWPE constrained small post tibial bearing is intended for use in revision cases, as part of the Vanguard SSK revision system. Indications for use include: Painful and disabled knee joint resulting from osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, traumatic arthritis where one or more compartments are involved; Correction of varus, valgus, or posttraumatic deformity; Correction or revision of unsuccessful osteotomy, arthrodesis, or failure of previous joint replacement procedure.
Functional description
The Vanguard SSK DCM constrained small post tibial bearing is constructed of direct compression moulded Arcom UHMWPE and articulates with the femoral and tibial tray components of the Vanguard Super Stabilized Knee system. The device has a swept back tibial post and deep anterior cutout. The constrained bearing allows +/- 1 degree varus/valgus lift-off and +/- 0.5 degree rotational freedom
