CLS Spotorno Hip Stems - Press-fit hip femur prosthesis, modular

Intended purpose

The CLS Spotorno Hip Stems are intended for long term uncemented fixation of total or hemi hip arthroplasty in the femur and provide connection to articulation with specified ball heads.

Functional description

The CLS Spotorno Hip stems are cementless stems with a three-dimensional wedge shape and ribs in the proximal region. The 3D taper/wedge is pressed into the slightly undersized visco-elastic seat (fit) prepared into the cortico-cancellouse bone of the metaphysis to achieve stability. The rough-blasted Protasul-100 titanium alloy of the Prosthesis is largely osteophilic and plays an important role in bone regeneration in the area directly surrounding the prosthesis.
