MUTARS tapered stem cementless - Press-fit hip femur prosthesis, modular

Intended purpose

A cementless femoral stem used as part of the MUTARS system for proximal femoral replacement. Primary indication for the use of the MUTARS systems is after bone resection because of a tumour. Further indications for the use of the MUTARS systems are massive bone loss such as in Morbus Gorham or for the revision arthroplasty and for the prosthetic treatment in case of fractures, pseudarthrosis and arthrosis.

Functional description

Composed of TiAl6V4. The angle of the tapered design is 2 degrees. The sizing diameter a is found 40mm below the collar. The collar should not rest on the cortical bone shell. The distance between the bone shell and the collar should be app. 20mm. Length 130mm.
