Intended purpose

The Ruby Coil System is indicated for arterial and venous embolizations in the peripheral vasculature.

Functional description

The Ruby Coil System is comprised of a platinum embolisation coil attached to a composite pusher with a radiopaque positioning marker. The coil is transferred onto the microcatheter and the coil should be advanced under fluoroscopic guidance. The detachment handle is attached and advanced over the proximal end of the delivery pusher and then the coil is detached by using the retraction button on the handle into the preferred site.
