Intended purpose

The TaperLoc Complete XR123 Micro Porous Femoral Stem is intended for use as a component of a TaperLoc Complete Hip System. Indications include: Noninflammatory degenerative joint disease including osteoarthritis and avascular necrosis. Rheumatoid arthritis. Correction of functional deformity. Treatment of non-union, femoral neck fracture, and trochanteric fractures of the proximal femur with head involvement, unmanageable by other techniques. Revision procedures where other treatment or devices have failed.

Functional description

Femoral stem component hip joint replacement prosthesis. Titanium Alloy with a porous coating for cementless application. 123 degree neck angle and shorter neck length address femurs with a more varus neck by allowing additional horizontal offset and lower vertical offset. 35mm shorter length provides a bone conserving stem option to facilitate minimally invasive techniques. Reduced distal geometry option to address various patient anatomies including proximal/distal mismatch.
