Intended purpose
Knee arthroplasty with the ACS Knee System is indicated, if - severe joint destruction with significant impairment where other therapeutic measures are not more promising. - severe joint pain due to degenerative or rheumatoid arthritis, joint fractures or one necrosis. - post-operative conditions after previous surgery with or without the use of implants. Used as a tibial insert as part of the ACS MB SC (semi-constrained) Knee system. Knee arthroplasty with the ACS MB SC Knee System is indicated for revision of primary knee joint replacement with concurrent loss/damage of both cruciate ligaments and instability of the collateral ligaments with the presence of femoral and/or tibial bone defects.
Functional description
Constructed of UHMWPE. Movable on the tibial component permitting rotational movements. Deep anterior notch provides space for the patella ligament. Posterior notch allows for preservation of the posterior cruciate ligament. Central protruding peg for posterior stabilization. Cylindrical peg on the underside for combination with the MB SC tibial component.
