Intended purpose
A UHMWPE articular insert of a total knee prosthesis. Indications for Total Knee Replacement include: 1. Rheumatoid arthritis. 2. Post-traumatic arthritis, osteoarthritis, or degenerative arthritis. 3. Failed osteotomies, unicompartmental replacement, or total knee replacement.
Functional description
The PROFIX Conforming Plus Insert for LEGION Baseplate design contains the locking mechanism of the LEGION Constrained Insert and the articular surface of the PROFIX Conforming Plus Insert. Inclusion of a LEGION locking mechanism on a PROFIX Conforming Plus Insert enables to, in cases of revision, implant a LEGION or GENESIS II tibial baseplate while maintaining the PROFIX Cruciate Retaining Femoral component.
