Intended purpose

A tibial insert component of the ORIGIN PS Cemented Knee System for use in primary knee arthroplasty Knee Arthroplasty with the ORIGIN PS Cemented Knee System is indicated in cases with severe painful and/or disabled knee joint, resulting from: - non-inflammatory degenerative joint disease - Osteoarthritis, necrosis, post-traumatic arthritis - inflammatory knee joint disease - rheumatoid arthritis

Functional description

An aymmetric shaped device intended to be fixed to the tibial tray and forms a bearing surface with the femoral component of an artificial knee. The tibial insert has a post that engages with a cutout in the femoral component to limit forward moveemnt of the knee in cases where posterior stabilisation is required. 7 variables are specified for each component to allow for precise matching to the patient and other system components.
