Intended purpose

A component of the Aequalis Reversed Shoulder prosthesis which is intended to replace the shoulder joint in order to relieve pain and improve the mobility of the shoulder joint in relation to the preoperative health status. Indicated for patients with a functional deltoid muscle: - as a total shoulder replacement in arthropathies associated with a massive and non repairable rotator cuff-tear, - for prosthetic revisions with a massive and non repairable rotator cuff-tear.

Functional description

The baseplate is a component of a reversed shoulder prosthesis, intended for use with a matching glenoid sphere. It is manufactured from titanium alloy and coated with titanium plasma spray. It is intended for non-cemented fixation. It is primarily fixated by a threaded central post and four peripheral screws.
