Intended purpose

Biomet Comprehensive Reverse Shoulder products are indicated for use in patients whose shoulder joint has a grossly deficient rotator cuff with severe arthropathy and/or previously failed shoulder joint replacement with a grossly deficient rotator cuff. The patient must be anatomically and structurally suited to receive the implants and a functional deltoid muscle is necessary

Functional description

The augmented baseplate is a component replacing the shoulder joint glenoid cavity. The glenoid augmented baseplate is composed of titanium alloy with PPS and HA/TCP coating. The augmented baseplate design allows for the treatment of a wide spectrum of glenoid bone wear conditions. The circular design of the baseplate allows for rotation to address the bone deficiency in any direction while multiple augment sizes are available to manage glenoid wear with minimal bone removal.
