Arthrex® Universal Glenoid™ Baseplate - Reverse shoulder prosthesis base plate

Intended purpose

The Arthrex® Universal Glenoid™ Baseplate is intended for use with the Univers Revers shoulder prosthesis system in reverse total shoulder arthroplasty. The Universal Glenoid is indicated in a grossly rotator cuff deficient glenohumeral joint with severe arthropathy or a previously failed joint replacement with a gross rotator cuff deficiency. The patient's joint must be anatomically and structurally suited to receive the selected implant(s), and a functional deltoid muscle is necessary to use the device. The Universal Glenoid is indicated for primary, fracture, or revision total shoulder replacement for the relief of pain and significant disability due to gross rotator cuff deficiency. The Universal Glenoid baseplate is CaP (calcium phosphate) coated and is intended for cementless use with the addition of screws for fixation.

Functional description

The Universal Glenoid shoulder prosthesis is a glenoid prosthesis(baseplate) made of titanium with calcium phosphate coated.The baseplate is fixed to the glenoid and may be used with a glenosphere for reverse shoulder applications. The Universal Glenoid baseplate is available in three sizes (small, medium and large) and is uncemented fixation with addition of central and peripheral fixation screw.
