Quadra-R Cementless Revision Stem - Revision coated hip femur prosthesis

Intended purpose

The Quadra-R stem is designed for cementless use in total or partial hip arthroplasty, in primary or revision surgery to provide increased patient mobility and reduced pain by replacing the damaged hip joint.

Functional description

The Quadra-R is a cementless revision long femoral stem in titanium-niobium alloy with hydroxyapatite (HA) coating used for revision purposes or pertrochanteric fractures. The HA on the coating on the stem has chemical characteristics similar to the ones in human bone which stimulates the bony ingrowth. When the HA coating is absorbed there is good interaction between stem and bone leading to long term stability. The device is presented with a neck angle of 127 degrees.
