Intended purpose

A flat metal surgical instrument, usually of a high-grade stainless steel quality, with a serrated edge designed for attachment to a dedicated powered surgical saw used for cutting bone/tissue when a directional pressure is applied. This device is designed with the cutting teeth arranged in an arc at the distal end that cut when the blade is powered in a rapid oscillating movement on the object to be cut. This restricted movement allows for cutting, e.g., a bone within a deep incision.
