Intended purpose

This is a device, which is part of an ultrasonic scaler system, that is intended to be used as the holder for a detachable ultrasonic scaler tip (also known as an insert) which together transmit ultrasonic energy delivered from the generator to the oral cavity for the removal of accretions from tooth surfaces during oral prophylaxis and periodontal therapy.
