Intended purpose

This is a handpiece which is connected to a ultrasonic scaler system that is intended to be used to insert and hold detachable ultrasonic scaler tips that used together transmit ultrasonic energy to the oral cavity for the removal of accretions and other materials from the tooth surfaces during oral prophylaxis and periodontal therapy in the mouth.
