Intended purpose

This is an insert that is part of an ultrasonic scaler deice, that is intended to be attached to a dedicated handpiece that transmits ultrasonic energy transmitted from a generator to the oral cavity for the removal of accretions and other materials from tooth surfaces during oral prophylaxis and periodontal therapy in the mouth during a dental procedure.
