- GMDN category: Soft-tissue anchor, non-bioabsorbable
Intended purpose
A non-absorbable suture anchor designed to be implanted into bone for the attachment of soft tissues via a suture attached to the device. It is used in either arthroscopic or open surgical procedures, typically in shoulder (eg. rotator cuff repair and proximal biceps tenodesis). The suture anchor stabilises the damaged tissue, in conjunction with appropriate postoperative immobilization throughout the healing period.
