Intended purpose

The handpiece is a reusable device intended for use with the ultrasonic surgical aspirator system. The handpiece converts the electrical energy it receives from the generator into mechanical ultrasonic energy which is transferred to the tip and delivers ultrasonic energy, sterile irrigation fluid, and aspiration to the surgical site. Activation of the system is controlled by pressing the treadle of a wired or wireless foot pedal.
