Functional description

Brain spatulas are neurosurgical instruments used to retract brain tissue during cranial procedures. They are inserted with the working end first and may be handheld or mounted on a retraction arm. Depth, angle and curvature can be adjusted intraoperatively to suit patient anatomy and surgical requirements.
